FEI - Amira

FEI’s Amira is a powerful, multifaceted 3D software platform for visualizing, manipulating, and understanding data from computed tomography, microscopy, MRI, and many other imaging modalities. Incorporating the powerful image file format translation of Bio-Formats into AMIRA enables users to use Amira regardless of their preferred platform or file type, making that step to visualizing, analyzing and understanding their data, quicker and easier than ever before.

Vertex

Scientists at Vertex use OMERO Plus to manage their High Content Screening and Digital Pathology datasets. OMERO Plus provides a powerful platform for image annotation, sharing and analysis. PathViewer enables interactive annotation and visualization of analytic results. Vertex is a global biotechnology company that aims to discover, develop and commercialize innovative new medicines so people with serious diseases can lead better lives. Founded in 1989 in Cambridge, MA, Vertex today has research and development sites and commercial offices around the world in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. Vertex realizes that bringing together some of the world’s smartest people is often the best way to solve the toughest scientific problems.

Maastricht University

Maastricht University is our first Academic customer to utilize PathViewer, which will be used to work with both electron microscopy and digital pathology images. Those in the group to use the PathViewer are no strangers to Glencoe Software’s solutions. In the past, they have contributed to the OME and have utilized the JCB DataViewer in 2012 to publish an image of a whole zebrafish embryo recorded with an electron microscope at 1.6nm resolution. (FACT: It was the world’s largest image on the internet at that time!)

National Phenotypic Screening Centre

The National Phenotypic Screening Centre (NPSC) utilizes our data management, storage, integration and support services. You can read more about it in this press release.

PerkinElmer

PerkinElmer uses OMERO for its Columbus® Image Data Management and Analysis System. Columbus® allows scientists to manage, view, annotate and measure images from anywhere via the Internet. It supports image files from a wide range of sources, including Opera®, PerkinElmer's High Throughput, High Content Screening System and Operetta®, PerkinElmer's High Content Imaging System.

American Society for Cell Biology

The CELL: An Image Library™ is an on-line public repository of images of cells from a variety of organisms sponsored by the American Society for Cell Biology. All submitted images are vetted and annotated by trained annotators, to add value to the submitted image data. It uses a customized version of OMERO for data submission, annotation, visualization, and download.

Imagic

Imagic uses Bio-Formats file format recognition and conversion technology to enable access to a wide range of file formats in its ims image processing applications.

Strand Life Sciences

Strand Life Sciences uses Bio-Formats in their Avadis® iMANAGE product, a web-based enterprise-wide image and analysis management platform for Bio-Imaging researchers.
